MPEG-Files
Important for the downloads! Normally you view the downloaded video with the windows-media-player.
Just double-click on the downloaded file. It will open automatically.
In case this does not work go to http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html and get the free vlc-player.
The higher
the standard of your Internet equipment is, the better the
quality of the videos will be - up to DVD-quality! We offer
you several options of video quality and a recommendation
which one to use concerning your equipment.
You need FlashPlayer6
In case it´s not installed yet on your computer, just
get the according player now -
FlashPlayer6 - to watch the videos.
Check your Internet transfer rate with a
fast bandwith
test. Depending on your bandwidth we give you a recommendation
which video quality makes sense to watch.

Streaming video
With the streaming technology you don't have to download the
videos on your computer to watch them: the data "streams"
continously and you can already watch the beginning of the
video - up to real-time - while the rest of it is puffered/loaded
from the Internet (and while you are online).
If you want to enjoy
the videos in the highest possible quality (equal to DVD and
CD-Rom)it is advisable to choose the LAN-format.
If your equipment at home is not fast enough, you will usually
find access to it in internet-cafes or university-computer-centers.
Certain software systems (like windows 98) proofed to have
difficulties with the streaming-video-technique. The picture
is not very sharp, the flow is rough, the sound rather unnatural
and after about four minutes the synchronisation falls apart.
In the latter case you stop the stream by clicking on "pause"
and continue from there by clicking on "pause" again.
The synchronisation will be restored. Nothing can be done
about the sharpness and the rough stream.
These problems do not occur in systems like windows 2000 and
newer.
